My Students

Our middle school students are the best in Madison! They work hard, play hard, and think hard. We have a range of abilities, personalities, and opportunities. As a school community we care about each-other and inspire each-other to do better. Our school has close to 615 students and is growing. 72.1 % of our students receive free or discounted lunch.

Middle school can be a tough time physically, mentally, and emotionally.

My students are amazing and advocate for themselves daily. Throughout the school day, students are supported to think about how their experiences help them to grow and get closer to who and what they want to be. If we can provide them with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed, they will!

My Project

My students have juggled in person learning, online learning, and hybrid learning. No matter where they are learning, they have chromebooks. These chromebooks travel around the building, in backpacks, and around the home. We need to keep them in tip, top working shape for clear student use. The materials requested include screen cleaner, microfiber clothes, and keyboard cleaner. This way little dust and crumbs that get in the keyboard don't make a key stop working. Although there have been some chromebook loaners in the past, with the whole school having technology needs, there isn't enough. Laptops get hot when not placed on a hard surface, the built in fan doesn't do enough. A portable laptop desk will allow students to work in hallways. Lastly, the strain screens have caused on eyes is tough. A classroom set of blue light glasses and case would greatly help tension. This year is challenging, but with technology tools, we can help students succeed!
