Help me give my students a suitable device that will allow me to create and direct access to new resources that will lead my students to excel as 21st-century learners in digital classrooms.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are adapting as they've returned to campus to attend school. They show up every day, they complete assignments and they show enthusiasm for our current and future projects. I enjoy seeing them engaged in our lessons as they actively participate in our rich group discussions. As we continue to adapt, my goal for my students is to foster an environment where they feel encouraged to take risks and learn from mistakes without fear. I have a diverse classroom where students come from different economic backgrounds and I would like to provide a classroom where they have equal access to resources that allow them to engage in new learning experiences.
My students are growing risk-takers who are experimenting with project/problem-based learning in order to become fluent 21st Century learners and global collaborators.
My Project
Since we began the era of remote learning, teachers and students were forced into an era of learning that we did not feel prepared for. My personal computer was used to teach students online and went through a lot of wear and tear. A new computer will help me prepare and research digital content for students so that they can thrive in a digital classroom. This computer will not only help me be prepared for my daily lessons and online learning management systems but it will also help me expose students to current resources available online now and those that continue to be created for digital classrooms. A new computer has the best system requirements to reduce the number of interruptions caused by glitches, lagging, and buffering. I want to help my students not only survive this new era of learning but also prepare them for their future classrooms and beyond.
