Technology to Know: Digital Science Notebooks - The Final Chapter

My Students

My students are freshmen, juniors and seniors in an inner city public high school. Over eighty percent of the students are from low-income families. All freshmen are required to take biology and human anatomy is an elective for the juniors and seniors.

My students love technology and enjoy learning science through the digital posts on my website and from other online science resources.

My students come from all over the city and therefore have different learning abilities and science knowledge.

My Project

Help me give my students Chromebooks that they will have access to and can use independently during the entire class period.

My students come from all over the city and therefore have different learning abilities and science knowledge.

Most of my students lack the up to date technology they need to individually access all the classroom digital resources effectively. Currently my classroom has only enough Chromebooks for students to work in groups of two or three which sometimes leads to more socializing than learning.

With the addition of these Chromebooks my students will be able to express their creativity and learning in their digital science notebook entries.

My students will be able to work at their independent learning level, at their own pace and they will be able to collaborate online with students in their class and the other classes.
