Technology to Help Have Productive and Professional IEPs

Help me give my students and their families an optimal IEP experience. This item will give the flexibility to complete the IEP process more professionally as well as accurately in the IEP meeting and gathering appropriate resources/signatures.

My Students

I teach resource math and inclusion English for students and am the IEP case file holder for 35 students at SHS. These students have specific learning challenges that make it hard for them to excel in many academic settings. These young students often try very hard and are amazing. To assist these students and their families and comply with law, we get to meet as an IEP team at least once a year to discuss progress and changes to education as needed.

My Project

As a Special Education Teacher, I have the opportunity to conduct and participate in IEP meetings for each of my students at least once a year. The iPad will be used for the purpose of holding a professional and successful IEP meetings.

The iPad will be used to move around the campus to get signatures as well as assessments / surveys and interviews with teachers and students.

This will help provide the best care for the individual student. Secondarily, this can be used for on-line learning during COVID-19 needed times.
