My Students

I am a second grade self-contained teacher at a Title I public school.

My district, as a whole, is experiencing difficulty in tailoring the reading and math program to each individual student. We are trying to use differentiated instruction to reach all students. There are students who will continue to be non-readers if we do not reach them quickly.

My Project

For this project I am requesting two Acer Chromebook laptops with two AmazonBasics sleeves for protection. My role in the solution is to provide my students with a variety of reading instructional techniques and best practices. Accessing various technological software and websites will help students with all curricular subjects, especially Reading. Using the Chromebooks, students can listen to books and stories online, play educational games, or work on writing and projects while I work with small groups of students at a time. My students will be on the road to becoming more independent readers and thinkers.

Your help will ensure that more of my students get the hands-on reading practice needed at different levels of learning.

We currently have only two working desktop computers and one laptop for student use. In these struggling economic times, your help is greatly appreciated.
