My Students

My students are a diverse group of 1st graders with a wide range of academic abilities, learning styles, strengths, and weaknesses. They all share a passion for learning and growth not only in school but as citizens of the world.

Having Apple iPad technology resources readily available to my students gives them a valuable opportunity to become responsible digital citizens in our global community.

Most of my students do not have computers or devices at home to further their education and therefore rely on the school for technology exposure.

My Project

My students all share a passion for learning and love using technology in the classroom to further their education.

Many students lost their homes, had to relocate or had extensive damage from Hurricane Harvey.

As teachers, we continually struggle to make up the lost time, lost wages and bridge the gaps in our community.

My students will gain satisfaction with the immediate feedback provided and a sense of accomplishment and power through the use of Apple iPads. Learning to use the Apple iPads and its applications will enhance their self-esteem and make them excited about coming to school. The collection of data through the use of multiple applications enhances my ability to see strengths and weaknesses in my student's abilities.
