This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have been given a chance to test out a Promethean board to see if it can be used school wide. This new technology is great, but students are missing from the equation. Students can use the class ipad to screen share work and annotate it. This will make a significant difference.

The goal for this project is to use this ipad daily.

We will use it to edit and improve student writing as we participate as a community of writing collaborators. This is significant as I am the English Language Development teacher for 7th grade. Students can see improvements in their writing in real time as we make suggestions and acknowledge how far they have come thus far.

My students are very diligent and care deeply about their English language development. They know the more their writing improves, it will transfer to their speaking, reading and listening skills. We have been doing peer editing with actionable feedback all year. This ipad will open the views of the documents for more input.
