Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are constantly striving for self improvement and pushing themselves to advance in their academic abilities. Living in an intercity community, they often battle the hardships from a lack of family income, yet are motivated to advance from poverty by furthering their education.
My students come from a wide variety of different cultures.
With Mexican, Vietnamese, Somalian, African American, and other cultures represented in our classrooms, we definitely are a diverse population. With this multitude of cultures we learn acceptance and embrace all who enter our community.
My Project
My students have been asking for modern technology to collaborate, explore, and document their work in science. An iPad Pro will not only let them take pictures of the experiments they conduct, but also create presentations and more through modern applications such as Google slides, docs, and more!
In addition, this will be a great tool to share what we do in the classroom with the parents by utilizing applications like Class Dojo where parents can see their students in action, exploring the world of science.
Please help these future scientists by affording the technology they are asking for and require!
