My students need a touch screen computer to enhance individualized learning.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Berk's classroom raised $671

My Students
Allow me to offer a new tool to my students. A tool whose use I will monitor and adapt to meet the needs of each child. “Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is most important.” – Bill Gates
We are a diverse group of youngsters eager to enjoy and learn through play.
Our classroom has an active art center, an ever changing dramatic play area ( auto repair shop, grocery store, laundromat), science, math, language center and more. The children, representative of the entire school and surrounding neighborhood, come from families that are
supportive of their child's needs and those of the school. Unfortunately or fortunately, even at this young age, children are familiar with iPads and Smartphones. In the classroom the computer will be used in an educationally, sound way with age appropriate time restrictions.
My Project
The children will be able to work on activities carefully chosen to meet their individual needs. Phonics and math activities are abundant on the web, and offer an alternative to manipulatives used in the classroom to support learning. Science and social studies, often abstract topics for children, will no longer be foreign with the use of videos and photographs available to show.
By donating to this project, you are allowing the children to explore new topics, increase their expertise on those they are familiar with and develop more confidence by improving their academic skills.
