My Students

I am a Prekindergarten teacher at an elementary school in Tennessee.
Most of the children attending this school come from low-income families, so it's important to me to provide my students with quality hands-on materials.
In my class, there are 20 four and five year old children who are eager to learn and thrive in an environment that is conducive to learning. At this age, students are energetic, excited to experience school for the first time and absorb any information you are willing to teach them.
My Project
My scholars will use the iPod Touch, with case, to scan QR codes. Some of the skills they will work on include beginning sounds, rhyming words, counting, and more. I am requesting various 4M kits which uses recycled materials to create something new; for example, the 4M Tin Can Robot uses a can to create a fun and functional robot.
The keyboard mat will get my students actively moving while creating music.
They could explore 8 different instruments and record any ballads they create. The diffuser and oils will create a relaxing environment so my students can perform to the best of their abilities.
