My Students

Our school has a very wide range of learning styles and student interests as our students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and socioeconomic situations.

Being in a military town brings students of all backgrounds and upbringings together where they can learn from and with one another.

They come together with their individual experiences to create, explore, debate and grow both academically and socially. Our students welcome one another's differences and perpetuate an open, caring environment built on respect.

My Project

Our students thrive on technology. They use it every day and it is a sure-fire way to keep them engaged. Our district just adopted new textbooks that have an amazing library of online resources to enhance the student learning as well as a new literacy program that students need more access to. Working towards a 1 to 1 classroom with these Chromebooks will allow the students to collaborate using Google Drive, use the resources and links provided by the textbook's eBook to further their knowledge as well as have easier access to the literacy program so they can practice their close reading and improve their reading and writing abilities.

Having more technology in the classroom also helps our students who do not have access to technology or internet at home or who do not have the support at home of someone to help them learn how to use technology to enhance their knowledge about the world around them.

Our students deserve the opportunity to use all of the resources available to them to become better students and better citizens by learning about the world beyond their own front door.
