My Students

Each of my students bring different talents, interests, knowledge, and creativity into the classroom that makes my class a community of learners. Students in our school come from different cultures and backgrounds which makes our class interesting and unique. Students enjoy participating in healthy choice activities which help create positive energy in our school. Also, students in fourth grade are held to high expectations to be positive role models for younger students in our school. These are some reasons my students are so special to me!

My Project

The purchase of Chromebooks for our classroom would help students to remain engaged in lessons. Currently our school shares technology. My class has access to a limited amount of technology. This leaves little time for students to explore all the reading, science, writing, and math programs available to make learning fun! With 4 Chromebooks, my students would be able to practice basic math facts daily, read stories they enjoy, listen to stories be read aloud, submit assignments online using Google classroom, and write stories using pictures they create. The possibilities of learning seem endless when technology is available.

The majority of my students do not have access to computers at home.

Having technology in the classroom would help them learn and improve their technical skills and knowledge. With technology, my students would have access to endless information that is difficult for them to get now. When students are able to research information through technology, their knowledge increases forever.
