Technology That's Totally Tubular!

My students need two LeapFrog Leap Pad Tablets, two headphones, and a few games to play during independent Literacy Center Time.

My Students

Every morning we start off the day with saying "hello" in different languages. The students are learning to say hello in languages from Mandarin to German and everything in between.

My students attend an international bachelorette PYP school with a wide range of diversity.

They are curious kindergarten students with an excitement to be at school. They love technology! My students come to school at different levels of academics, experiences, and skills. Technology is one component that helps struggling students become more proficient readers and writers.

My Project

My students love to explore and learn. I am requesting two Leapster Leap Pad tablets, two educational games, and headphones for my classroom of students. The students will be able to use these Leap Pad tablets during our Literacy Center Time where they will work in partnerships to enhance their literacy skills including phonemic awareness, sight words, letter and sound correspondence, and cooperation. They will also be able to use the materials during free choice time. The students in my class this year as well as years to come, will love working with these Leap Pad tablets. They are easy for the four and five-year-olds to navigate independently as well as enrich their reading experiences in the classroom.

Your donations to this project will give my students the opportunity to become more proficient readers, writers, and thinkers.

Students will love the hands on games and interactive devices. They will work cooperatively with partners to complete this center time activity in a fun and challenging way.
