This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am incredibly blessed to have 13 amazing kindergarten students. My students are so eager to learn and explore all the new and exciting adventures ahead. Our classroom systems are all based on collaboration. Kindergarten is an amazing time for exploration throughout all subjects. My students love to create class books, they light up with such pride when their portion of the story is read to the whole class! We love to go on "adventures" outside our classroom to expand our curriculum by observing the world around us.

While financial struggles are sadly a reality for a large percentage of title one students, they continue to shine through with vibrant character and tenacity to learn.

All students from all backgrounds, ethnic groups, and socioeconomic statuses deserve the opportunity to have the best resources available to them!

Everyday as a campus we say our school pledge our favorite line is the very last one. "Have a great day at *************** the BEST school in Texas." Everyday my students light up and just about yell that part. They don't even realize their kind hearts, and imaginative minds are the reason we do have the BEST school in Texas.

My Project

Access to tablets will expand learning activities and resources across the curriculum. One of the most exciting aspects is the opportunity for students to capture pictures and videos of their work. This will be beneficial for center work responsibility and also a instant way to share their favorite pieces of work with their families.

Tablets are such a versatile tool that can be used across all skill levels in the classroom, from challenging your gifted students to exciting new activities for intervention needs.

Students having personal access to technology will expand a student centered learning and broaden their ability to explore new activities.
