This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a reading interventionist, all of the students I teach have significant reading delays. The majority of these students have some type of learning impairment that interferes with their ability to read on grade level. My class is also comprised of English language learners who either know a small amount of English or do not know any at all.
My Project
Help me provide my students and classroom with kid-friendly tablets (and cases for those tablets). These tablets will be connected to my school's wifi and be able to allow my students to explore in my "chill-room" of Reading Intervention pull outs. My students and I will not only be utilizing these for instructional software, but also for e-books and to connect to my zoom so they can sit far away from my kidney table in a flexible seating option (yoga mat, wobble chair, etc.) and still be able to see my monitor screen.
