My students need 4 iPad minis to begin using technology everyday in reading and math as well as assist us in using STEAM in the classroom.

My Students

My students are 6 and 7 year old children who all have the desire and ability to be anyone and do anything if they are just given the opportunity, encouragement, and tools!

Our class is made up of students from all backgrounds from all over the world.

They come in every day ready to see what new things they are going to learn about today. First grade was my favorite grade and it was the grade when I remember wanting to become a teacher. I want to be the kind of teacher that provides that kind of excitement and inspiration for my students as well.

My Project

These iPads will be used daily in many of the activities that we do. My students will use them to do independent research projects. They will use them to read and scan books using the QR codes. We will set up our classroom library on the iPads so it is easy for children to see what books are in our room and to check them out. Our district is implementing PLTW which is a project based cirriculum in science and math. Technology is used in most of these lessons and the iPads will make it easier to complete work without having to share technology with 6 other classes .
