Technology Take Us Away!

My students need Chromebook's and headphones to use during small group reading and math.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Robinette's classroom raised $590

My Students

My students are energetic, bright-eyed, caring 2nd graders who come to school each day ready and eager to learn.

Our school serves the most economically impacted elementary students within our school district.

100% of the students in our school are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch. Our families work hard to provide for their children. My students deserve the opportunity to be successful in school and to experience that "aha" moment when they realize they really "get" the concept being taught. They deserve the opportunity to achieve their goals and dreams. As Kid President might say, they deserve to be "Awesome" and make the world more awesome by being in it!

My Project

Technology is integral to 21st Century students, but it is not always readily available. Our school is one of the most technology deficient schools in our district. We have approximately 1 computer for every 4 students. This includes the computers that are not functioning. Being able to offer this resource to my students will not only allow them to hone their reading skills, but their math skills as well. Chromebook's in the classroom can help make this happen!

The implementation of these 3 Chromebook's and sets of headphones in my classroom will provide an additional station for reading and math.

Students will use district approved programs designed to meet their current instructional level. They will be able to work on the specific reading and math skills in which they are deficient. My students will also be able to become more familiar with Google Classroom and the programs in Google Drive (Google docs, slides) to help them produce language arts, social studies, and science projects and presentations.

Integrating technology into my classroom will change the lives of my students. With the addition of classroom Chromebook's, students will have access throughout the school day to tools that will support their academic needs. Chromebook's will help provide the resources and support necessary to help my students reach their end of year goals.
