Help me give my students a Microsoft Surface Pro to teach like I am required to: flexible, responsive, and tech-forward.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Terrell's classroom raised $834

My Project
My name is Ms. Kyra Terrell, and I proudly serve as a Special Education and English teacher in Washington, D.C. Each day, I work alongside brilliant, resilient young people who deserve every opportunity to succeed—students who learn differently, navigate unique challenges, and still show up ready to grow.
But here's the reality: our current technology falls short.
I am requesting a Microsoft Surface Pro to create the learning environment my students deserve—one rooted in accessibility, cohesion, and high-quality digital tools.
As a SPED educator, I need a device that allows me to adapt materials in real time, toggle between learning platforms, track IEP goals, and ensure that all of my students, especially those with learning differences, can access rigorous, engaging content. The Surface Pro’s durability, connectivity, and software capabilities make it the ideal tool for the multifaceted demands of inclusive education.
Unfortunately, our school does not provide teachers with devices that meet these needs. A Surface Pro would allow me to seamlessly design differentiated instruction, offer voice-to-text options, and ensure my students’ learning is not limited by hardware.
This is not just a want—this is a necessity. My students deserve a classroom where technology supports, not hinders, their growth. Your support would directly impact learners who are often overlooked and underserved, helping them access their fullest potential. This Surface Pro means real-time accommodations, lesson access, and software that meets my students where they are, especially those who often get left behind
Thank you for standing with us in this work. Your generosity helps us bridge the gap between equity and access.
