This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Even though we are part of a large community, our school and I work hard to achieve a close-knit, nurturing, family environment. Each student feels safe and confident, allowing them to display their eagerness to learn and passion to achieve excellence. The children in my classroom are full of life, ready to learn, and always excited about what's in store for them that day. They are curious about everything. I find that one of the most important things I need to do as a teacher is to seize upon this curiosity and reward it. An excellent way to reward this curiosity is to bring the resources of the internet into the classroom (in-person and remotely). As we work remotely AND in the classroom, my students love all the interactive slides and activities I can pull up using my laptop. They are a super excited and enthusiastic class! I want to continue to make this a possibility for them! Furthermore, continuing to integrate this technology into the students' curriculum and daily lives will give them a greater chance to reach all of their goals this year.

My Project

I have used my current device for the past two years and it is at the end of its life. Teaching remotely for the past two years is not something I planned to do with my current device.

When I work remotely, I need to be as well prepared as possible.

My students will benefit from a teacher who has various materials readily available and keeps them engaged with in person and remote learning.

There will be little wait time between transitions because everything will be at my fingertips. I am very excited to be able to mirror my computer and truly help students to see the enormous potential technology can bring to our classroom.
