My Students
I have an absolutely wonderful group of kiddos this year. They have already become such good friends. They are kind, loving, and excited to learn.
The school we are at is located in a very poverty stricken area.
They come from very rough areas, with rough backgrounds. Many students in our area are being raised by other family members, or are in loving foster homes. This is one of the lowest income districts in our area. They do come to school ready to learn, and excited to be in our classroom with friends each day!
Our district strives for excellence in our students, by doing this we are working on instilling the 7 habits of a healthy student in them. They are learning how to be the leader in themselves, and they are are doing so well with it.
My Project
This Chromebook will be used in many different ways. Students will get to use it for extra phonemic awareness activities, sight word activities, and listening to stories during Guided Reading Workstations. I will also use it for testing purposes during Progress Monitor Weeks
My students need my constant attention.
When I am testing it requires a lot of extra materials. If this was available for those days it would go a lot smoother and quicker so they students would get more time to work with me. They would also benefit from the extra strategies that are used during Guided Reading Workstation time.
