My Students
Every morning we are greeted by a loving group of students who are eager to learn. Our class is populated by kindergartners with autism, sensory integration disorder, and developmental delays.
Our kindergarten class is populated by a very diverse group of students, all with their very own bright personalities.
However, one thing they all have in common is that they absolutely love coming to school and are always eager to learn. We have a nurturing classroom with the goal of truly fostering a love for learning in the little ones.
Everyone has different learning needs in our classroom, thus all lessons are specifically differentiated to reach all students in the classroom. Our students have definitely embraced the idea that each one of us is unique and special in our own way, yet we are all equal and treated with the same love and respect.
My Project
A desktop computer will complete our technology center. It will allow students to access educational websites we currently can't access because we have no computers. With a new computer our little ones will be able to access the GoMath Interactive Website to support our math curriculum, as well many reading and writing websites to support their growth.
Our students can sometimes become overstimulated in the classroom and the listening/computer center is a great way for them to deescalate while still learning!
Once we have a printer in the classroom we will be able to print an abundance of resources for the students and parents to support a better learning environment both at home and at school! We will be able to print enrichment work for the children, study guides, and any documents that the students need without waiting to go back to our homes to print them. This is greatly going to benefit the students and parents!
