My students are enthusiastic learners and love to learn new things! Our rural school is located in the Midwest with a K-6 student population of approximately 800 students. About half of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch and the number continues to rise yearly. They may come from low-income area but they are always excited to come to school and learn.
Our students love to learn and having exposure to books that relate to technology is a great way.
Using books as a way of learning has been a tried and true method.
My Project
We all know reading is one of the most important skills learned in school. Reading helps set students up for success in every single aspect of their lives. Getting a strong foundation in reading can set children on a path to success for the rest of their school career and beyond.
When students have finished their task on the computer it is great for them to have books that relate to the topic we just discussed or worked on.
They not only need to explore the digital world but also the written world. Some of the books will also be used for whole class discussions so all my students will have access to them.
