This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Technology is constantly changing....help us ride the wave with it! Our kids need to learn skills to help them survive in this "digital world"...will you help us, please??

My school is mostly Hispanic...the majority of our kiddos are on free and reduced lunch.

Less than half my class has computer access at home, so I allow them as much exposure as I can to technology devices. Our class uses an on-line forum for answering questions and communicating...we post videos on-line and create projects in Math and Science.

My Project

We are all familiar with the "magic" that an iPad can conduct. There are limitless possibilities for the kids to create their own products. iPads allow them to be creative in more than just a paper pencil way..."imagine" the possibilities!! Movies, pictures, apps, interactive websites, recording devices....

Having the latest technology provides students with many advantages.

They can become "savvy" at a younger age and teach their parents and siblings. We already have some net-books and iPods in the classroom, but the iPad is just one more tool that they can learn to use. They need to be familiar with these devices to maximize their education.
