Technology Needs for Online Learning

Help me give my students technology to use during the Covid-19 pandemic so they can continue to learn at home.

My Students

These amazingly diverse kindergarten children attend a public dual language school learning to read, write, and speak in Spanish and English. They work extremely hard every day learning content in Spanish for half of the day and English for the other half.

The goal for these amazing kindergarten children is to continue in this school to ultimately graduate with a seal of biliteracy on their diploma- the ability to learn content by reading, writing, and speaking in Spanish and English.

My Project

During this COVID-19 pandemic, students need devices so they can access online resources, activities, videos, songs, and book recordings. My families do not have access to Chromebooks. Our district has funded Chromebooks for students in upper grades but have no more left for our youngest learners. These children need to have access to online resources so they can continue their learning while schools are closed then I can see them and talk with them while they continue to learn.

My families are working hard homeschooling their child but need the essential devices to access online resources.

This would be a blessing for all of us.
