This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Can you imagine a day without technology? Probably not. In our school and in our community, that is a reality.
Our school has a very limited budget with little in terms of technological resources.
This project will help our entire school integrate technology into the daily lives of our parents and students.
Our school is a low income New York City public school whose student population encompasses diverse learners including English language learners. A television in our school would excite children of all backgrounds to work harder to get their picture featured on screen and be more excited about school!
My Project
We are surrounded by technology; smartphones, laptops, digital cameras to name a few. Unfortunately, many of my students have limited access to these resources in their homes. Our hope is through the use of a school TV we will be able to integrate technology into the daily lives of our students and parents.
Students will be able to interact with the TV each morning when they arrive to school to see school and class specific activities for the day, the breakfast and lunch menu, and students who are featured each week and month!
Students of the month will have their picture posted for all to see and student work will be posted to be praised by all who walk by. Students will be excited to see their work and their faces pop up on the TV and will be a great way to motivate all students! We can't wait to see our students faces light up as they see their faces and those of their peers projected across the screen for all to see.
