Technology Matters!

My students need 3 Samsung Chromebooks for a 2:1 student to computer ratio in order take them beyond the walls of our classroom as we study, explore and collaborate in our math and science studies!

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income elementary school, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am aiming to grab their attention by providing my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. Our fifth grade is comprised of 85 amazing students, many of whom thrive when given the opportunity to work with technology and show their true potentials. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives, but I can certainly guide/influence their experiences during the school day. By educating them in a creative and positive way, I am hopeful to inspire all learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.

Giving low-income students access to new technology is an investment in their future.

Donations will improve my classroom by helping to keep students engaged in learning and collaborating globally through online learning. Having technology access, will allow students to practice math and science skills at differentiated levels. Various programs and projects can accommodate all levels of learning to engage

My Project

I am requesting 3 Chromebooks for my classroom to enhance the learning of my students. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

My students will be able to use the Samsung Chromebooks in partner groups for many different activities that include that often include the following: Google Classroom assignments, collaborative projects, research, presentations, quizzes, vocabulary, interactive movie projects, charting lab graphs and data analysis, etc. With technology the possibilities are endless.
