Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 8th grade Language Arts and Math. Although this is my third year teaching, it is my first year teaching 8th grade at the middle school I grew up in! My goal this year is to inspire my students to be lifelong independent learners!
I'm very excited to be teaching at the middle school I attended as a kid!
My students are very energetic and have a passion for learning. I believe that the low social economic status they are in drives them and motivates them in the class room daily. Unfortunately, 72 percent of the students in my school are categorized as socioeconomically disadvantaged.
My Project
With these materials students will be able to project and display their work using the latest technology. In Language Arts, students will be able to present keynote presentations and research projects to their classmates. In mathematics, students will be able to explain and broadcast their reasoning while solving equations efficiently.

I know that completing this project will revolutionize my classroom.
Currently, technology is very limited at my school site. Being able to project an iPad and chrome book will completely change the atmosphere of the classroom. The statement has been made over and over again that pictures and visuals speak louder than words. Integrating technology and giving students the ability to show off their work will not only encourage learning in the classroom, but empower them to be long life learners.
