it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Children today are faced with an ever changing world of technology. Unfortunately, not all children are able to have access to all types of technology. In order to give each child an opportunity, we need this technology in the schools.
I am a kindergarten teacher with 22 enthusiastic students in my class.
About 80 percent of my students are on free or reduced lunch. All of my students are highly motivated to learn no matter what challenges they face at home or in their community. All the parents in my class want the best education for their child and they try to do the best they can.
My Project
Thanks to people like you and DonorsChoose.org I was able to get one iPod Touch for my classroom. I was able to buy and download many applications and also, get some free applications that are perfect for my kindergarten students. They love working with the iPod Touch but the only problem is that I have 22 students and only one iPod Touch. It would be great if we could have one more iPod Touch for our classroom so that way we can have a technology center. The iPod Touch has motivated them to learn. They think they are playing games and solving puzzles but they are actually learning. Most of my students have never seen or touched one before. It is amazing how fast they learn. I also use it to record them reading and they love recording each other. The iPod Touch has helped the students master the state standards in all academic areas. I just wish that we had one more for our classroom.
I am determined to bring different forms of technology into my classroom.
My students love the iPod Touch that was funded through DonorsChoose.org so I hope you will support my classroom to get one more. Then my students will be able to use the iPod Touch more often. My students (and future students) and I appreciate your support. Technology makes learning fun!
