My students need a laptop computer in our classroom to access the Internet and learn to type their writing on the keyboard.

My Students
I would like to use technology in my classroom when I'm providing specialized academic services to my special needs students.
My students are in grades K-6th, and they have mild to moderate learning disabilities.
They spend the majority of their day in a general education classroom, and they come to see me for a portion of their school day to work on specific academic objectives.
My Project
As a special education teacher, I feel that technology is an integral part of learning. Many of my students have fine motor delays which makes writing a difficult task. A computer will enable my students to access the Internet for information as well as provide an outlet to type out their writing.
My project is important because technology is an integral part of our society now.
Students need to know how to use a computer, access the Internet, and type written work. A laptop computer in our small classroom will allow my special needs students to utilize technology in their independent learning activities.
