My Students
My students come to school every day with a desire to learn despite their home environment. My school is a Title 1 campus which means a large percentage of students receive free lunch. Some families receive a backpack full of food to take home for the weekends. Even though they face many economic and emotional challenges, my students want and need to be successful! For many of my students, coming to school is the best part of their day. My students deserve to have access to materials that will foster their love of learning and fun!
My Project
Having a set of iPads will help my students succeed by integrating their passion for technology with academic skills. Students need to be engaged in their learning in order to develop mastery level. They also need to be able to develop technology skills to help prepare them for their future. The use of the iPads will bring a sense of enjoyment to their learning. The iPads will be used to increase their technology skills, read eBooks, play educational games, practice listening skills, develop word and sound recognition, master the High Frequency Word Assessment and to make learning lots of fun!
