Help me give my students Chromebooks that they need to increase their knowledge of searching the web and for research projects. The headphones are to help all of us with our learning while others are on Chromebooks.
I teach at an inner city school where all of my students qualify for free breakfast and free lunch. Some of them have very limited home experiences and need me to expose them to as many new things as possible.
My students have an amazing love to learn and are so eager to learn new concepts.
My students this year are amazing! Most of them have a great love for reading and I am anxious to continue to develop that love. A lot of my students don't have enough books at home on their reading level so I love sending home books with students to read. Therefore we need lots of books to read at school and at home!
My Project
My students are used to using their parents iPhones and are not used to using a "real" computer. So experiences with Chromebooks are priceless. They will eventually start taking tests and completing assignments on the Chromebook and they need to be very familiar and comfortable with how they work.
Students will use the Chromebooks for research purposes, they will also be able to go on learning web sites and review math and literacy goals.
Students are more engaged when they are on technology and they want to learn through the technology! Students love to explore the internet and learn about new things!
