Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help open the world of reading to eager young minds! My students want to understand that reading impacts around the world. Our resources are limited and this leaves my students at a disadvantage when developing their understanding of the reading world around them.

My students are sixth grade English language learners.

Their curiosity and hunger for knowledge are tremendous. The majority of my students learn best through hands-on applications of the curriculum standards. They are social, enjoy working in group activities, and are excited about reading to facilitate their learning. They attend an inner-city school where they face real-life challenges in the community.

My Project

My students use iPads and our computers daily for research based interventions in both reading and math. These devices go through a lot of basic wear and tear on a daily basis, meaning a lot of covers and a lot of chargers. As you can imagine, kids being kids, are very hard on these resources, but the show must go on and these things need to be replenished. Please help me replace the tools necessary for keeping our resources safe and in good working order by supporting our purchase of three iPad covers and two computer covers. This would help keep our iPads and computers safe and secure.
