My students have great personalities but struggle in reading and math. We use small group instruction to help the students improve their skills. These small groups the students need to be comfortable to be focused. Small groups also let me have more time with individual students and we build relationships. The students at my school need these relationships to build confidence in themselves. I try to build a family relationship in my classroom. These small groups and iPads allow the students to participate and feel more comfortable than a whole group situation.
My Project
My students do not have technology for each student. If we are lucky, then each class has 3 pieces of technology. This lack of technology hurts upper graders. They are expected to know how to research and use the computer, but do not have the access to do it. Many of my students do not have computers or iPads at home and can not practice the skills needed.
I use technology in my class to help reach all of my students.
I use technology in every subject. The students play games, practice skills and research on the computers. It is hard to have the students do these items if they do not have the materials needed.
