"Teaching in the Internet age means we must teach tomorrow’s skills today.” – Jennifer Fleming
Technology is today and will be our future. It is inevitable. I believe that children should have access to technology every single day.
My students are the hardest working bunch of children I have ever met.
They love learning!
Technology is an inevitable part of their education. Unfortunately, I have a few students who do not have computers, tablets, or even smart phones at home. With the world changing into being technology driven, do we really want our children to fall behind?
I believe that if they had access to iPads, they're learning would increase even more than it already has.
My Project
Students are going to be so excited to "play" on the iPads! They're going to want to go on apps such as Alphamonster, which teaches them letters and sounds, Read to Write, which teaches them early writing skills, and even Vocabubble, which helps them with new vocabulary.
My hope is that all the students are able to use the iPads. Each student can use it at their own level and learn through it to reinforce the skills that have already been taught in class.
My students are awesome no matter what, but these iPads will make them even more awesome!
Purchasing iPads will allow my students to learn in a more engaging way than paper and pencil.
iPads will not only allow my students to increase their literacy and mathematical skills, but it will also give them the opportunity to experience technology. Technology is not going away anytime soon. Thus, we need to teach our children how to use it responsibly and effectively.
