Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my classroom are curious, energetic and eager children. I have a wide range of English Language Learners in this class. Some of my students are learning English for the first time. Our school is located in New Jersey right by the beach. Our community and families try very hard to support their children. Their families work around the clock to give their children an amazing life. However, a large number of our families are non- English speaking. Many of my students tell me that they are trying to complete their homework but find it difficult. They do not have any resources to help them.

Each day the students are learning more and more English.

They are dedicated to their school work and want to be as successful as they can be. Every day we as whole are learning together.

My Project

Most students today would be classified as bodily-kinesthetic learners. The motion sensor allows students to use their hands in guiding the iPad to equilibrium, balance skills, or remote control of real or virtual robotics, hovercraft, or other vehicles.. etc.

As a completely portable learning tool, the iPad camera allows documentation to be taken to a whole different level.

Most of my students speak English as their second language. This tool will enhance their entire learning experience and assist them with better developing the English language. Students can also attach videos, and voice recordings to their field notes. They can dictate to the iPad.

An iPad has endless rewards to be used in our everyday curriculum. All levels of learners will have the ability to use the iPad to improve their learning.
