This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Every classroom is different, but in my eyes, I have the best! I love that we are all different and can bring so much diversity to the table. It keeps our discussions rich, like a big pot of gumbo!

I teach twenty-two students in each one of my two classes with a wide rage of different cultural backgrounds.

As different as we all may be, when put together in one class to learn, we become one loving family. My kids deserve the absolute best from me, and that is what I am trying to provide.

My Project

With the help of Chromebooks, my students will be able to get proper interventions while I pull small groups. While away from me, students can access sites that will can help with fluency, comprehension, decoding, and many other literacy skills. At my school we use KidBiz, which requires students to read a passage, answer comprehension questions, and then write a constructed response about the passage read. When students use this program on the Chromebooks, them will have enough time to complete it due to the extra technology inside of our classroom. Using this program will help with the previously mentioned skills.
