This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students enjoy technology however it is at times very distracting. Having students learn using paper and pencil will help many improve their skills in math. There are great resources that require a copy or a color copy to help students manipulate paper to get concepts of graphs, shapes, and just traditional problem solving.
While technology eliminates some use of paper it does not eliminate the need.
My students with IEPs,English learners and struggling students usually prefer a copy or need instructions on paper to understand a concept.
It has been very difficult to have copies made at school. They are always in use or breaking down. One black and white copier for a large number of teachers does not fill the need.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
