My students are a fun group of learners that come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. We learn in a small rural school where the neighborhood animals are heard and seen right outside our playground fence. We have worked successfully to show growth during this strange year of school. Given everything they all are facing, they are truly appreciative and excited to be here at school learning in person this year!!
They are caring, kind-hearted and love to lift each other up.
This diverse group varies in their abilities and backgrounds, but the one thing they all have in common is they are ready to learn and grow!!!
My Project
Every year advancements are made in education. This past year has been one for the records in so many ways. One amazing benefit of this pandemic has been the focus on helping educate students through technology and improve their individual experiences with self-paced learning programs.
My students are an excellent group of kids that are eager to learn after having this taken away for some time - they truly appreciate the gift of education!
Right now, more than ever, students are in need of one-to-one technology to allow them access to all the improvements we have seen created. Education looks completely different than it did 1 year ago all over the world because of these advancements. However, the funding for individual computers is not a priority with the limited budget in our state and therefore our kids do not have daily access to the digital world.
My Project: Please help me take advantage of the opportunity to use this technology for the students' advantage by funding this project. Your contribution will allow me to purchase the beginning of a class set of Chromebooks so students will have access to these advancements daily in my classroom.
Your support will mean that students this year and all those to come will be guaranteed a year to learn, practice and succeed with technology while in my class. We ALL thank you for helping us meet our funding goal!!
