Introducing iPad Minis into the classroom will begin to prepare my students for technology in the future.
My students are sweet, sensitive, and hard working.
Many of them receive free or reduced lunch each day. Three students receive extra reading help everyday through a program called Response to Intervention. Five students are seen for an hour a week for speech intervention.
I love my school! My school has received EXCELLENT ratings in our state for academic progress. We work hard here to make sure all students succeed
My Project
In my classroom, I teach small reading groups. While I work with each group, my students are working in educational centers. I will incorporate the 3 iPad Minis into center time. This will allow 3 additional students to read or research online in addition to the 3 student desktop computers. Also, I teach an informative writing unit. The iPad Minis will allow the students more access to information that they will be able to use in their writing. With technology advancements today, 3 desktop computers are not enough to satisfy the growing need.

Many of my students do not have access to computers at home. I feel it is important for my students to learn and understand how to use technology today in a safe and controlled environment. With this education they can grow to be successful business ladies and gentlemen.
