Last year our town was hit by Hurricane Harvey. It left many of our students without homes or homes that were greatly damaged. We are working hard to make our classroom a place our students feel safe and loved. I teach young children ages three to five years old. The students in my Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) classroom are a fun and loving group. They are still developing their physical, cognitive and emotional skills. They receive OT and PT services. Learning to walk, use stairs and feed themselves are just a few skills important for independence.
My students love to listen to stories, paint, work with friends in centers, dance, sing and move their whole body to learn.
They enjoy going to the motor lab to work their large muscles.
Please help fund my project for three Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids devices. This technology is greatly needed in our classroom. My students have physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities. They are still developing their fine motor skills. Using a touch device is a great way to improve these skills. A tablet is much easier for them to manipulate than a computer and mouse.
My students enjoy being read to and listening to music.
We do many activities together throughout the day. We are working toward independence in our daily lives. These devices will allow my students to access books and educational games
