My students need 1 new computer. I run an after school computer lab for K-2 and the computers we have are very outdated and slow. We need to replace the computers that stopped working.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Please help us update our math computer lab. We have an after school computer lab for K-2 students. This year we lost 2 computers because they were so old and slow. We also have a few that don't have audio anymore. We have some really wonderful Math programs for the lab and we really need your help!
We are in a rural community with many hard working parents.
The students are bright, full of energy, and eager to learn. The students in the after school computer lab range in age from kindergarten to 2nd grade. The school is a Title 1 school with a large Hispanic population. We have a preschool and grades K-6 on our campus. There are approximately 900 students.
My Project
The laptop computer that has been requested will allow students to improve math and reading skills. The computer programs that are available are wonderful support materials for early elementary and English language learners. The kids are really sharp and pick up computer skills so quickly. The programs we utilize have great tutorials, audio support, and leveled tracking to assist students and teachers. Teachers can easily intervene in areas of difficulty to further support student learning.
The K-2 math computer lab has made a huge impact on student learning and achievement on our campus.
We hope to continue this trend by maintaining existing laptops and replacing laptops that have reached their end. We want to keep learning fun and build our strength in the math and language areas. Please support our efforts to increase student achievement.
