Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Technology is an important part of the modern classroom. We use technology in a variety of ways. My school is lucky enough to have 1:1 computer, a teacher computer, and a smart board in each classroom. We use the board for every whole group lesson to provide visuals to support our learning. While working whole group, I have to stand at the board to teach if I need to write on it. To help students, I have to walk away from the board. This can take unnecessary time away from instruction, especially if I have to deal with behaviors.

By having an iPad and Apple Pencil, I will be able to circulate as I teach while writing on the board.

Having the ability to write on the board from anywhere would be a game changer. I would be able to be next to my students, keeping them on task and motivated, while also writing/projecting content to the board. Funding for this project would be hugely appreciated. I know this would create a much better learning environment for my students.
