My students need a Dell Mini Netbook for technology in the classroom. They are from low income families needing opportunity to face the technological challenges this world is offering.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Bring technology opportunity to low income, low poverty level students eager to succeed! My students are eager to succeed but often don't have the same available resources as other students do from families of higher incomes. Students need models to conceptualize technological school changes.
My students are high achievers with very little opportunity to demonstrate and reach their full potential due to financial difficulties and challenges. They are smart and eager to learn, they want to expand their knowledge and thrive in new innovated opportunities. They need opportunities to use technology to empower major learning strategies within the domain of school change and emerging electronic learning technologies.
My students would gain an opportunity to have traditional strategies for learning through the enhancement of technology. This would serve to increase student motivation, provide better techniques for classroom demonstration, increase accuracy in reporting results from student experiments and allow them to have greater visual portrayals of complex subjects. My students would gain access to increased sharing of scarce instructional resources through distance learning and improve classroom lessons using multimedia, sound, graphics, video and animation.
My Project
My students need a Dell Mini Netbook for technology in the classroom. This netbook will help enrich the student's life by bringing the world into the classroom. It would serve to provide them with multimedia presentations to enhance learning and bridge academic gaps. Technology in the classroom would allow materials to be placed in a visual framework. Demonstrations of mathematical solutions or science experiments are one example of using a computer projection device. Video technology would also allow them to see contemporary versions of famous stories performed by classical actors. A multimedia technology allow students to have comparative versions of the same learning materials. Students can have the opportunity to see distance learning technologies led by instructors in other locations, which helps schools separated by distance to share the benefits of teacher specialization and expertise. My students would benefit from technology by having time-consuming, repetitive examples presented in numerous ways through multi-sensory techniques
The students of today will be the "Go Getter's" of tomorrow.
All they need is the chance and opportunity to see and experience first hand all they can achieve and all they can learn. With technology they will have a chance to compete with the rest of the world. This is important in order to show increased enthusiasm for classroom lessons. Students will demonstrate a deeper understanding of complex material. The will show faster comprehension and make greater connections.
