This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the best! I know every teacher says this; it's like being a proud parent and having bragging rights, but really mine are the best! They are compassionate, eager to learn, silly, and amazing New Yorkers!
I want them to have every opportunity to access the curriculum at their level, and I always want them to be the best that they can be.
My Project
With a heavy emphasis on technology in schools, it is imperative that I, as a teacher, have a working, efficient computer so that I can create lesson plans, slides, share videos, project the lessons on the classroom smartboard. So much time is wasted waiting for the current computer to actually work that we are losing out on critical learning time. Having a working computer could provide students with a much more time efficient education which is critical during these times. It will also allow me to lesson plan more quickly as well.
