it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in grades 9-11, those in 9-10th are part of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program. Our school is driven by inquiry and rooted in indigenous knowledge. As part of our school it is important that students have experiences out and inside the classroom. Students are developing as leaders within their community, by taking action inside and outside of the classroom.
We like to think of our students as seeds, whose minds are expanding and will benefit from resources that will allow them to go beyond.
My Project
One of the things that I find important in my class is tp make sure that the students have the opportunity to lead within the classroom. By having the projector it will allow my students to continue developing their communication skills, which is important for them to have developed by the time that they reach the college level. In my class I want to have students practice creating and using rubrics, which would be one of the purposes that the document reader would have in the classroom. In our school the teachers rotate throughout the classrooms, so having the media cart will reduce the time spent trying to set up. Having the technology will help my students to continue developing skills that are necessary for them to be college and career ready.
