My 6th grade Math and Science classroom is a place of challenge and discovery. I use games and centers as a means of developing real life math and science skill. They are eager to learn new things and enjoy hands on STEM activities.
This year I hope to encourage creativity, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration.
These are skills that every 21st century student needs. By providing the supplies and opportunity I hope to give all of my students the feeling of success and a love of learning.
My Project
Making educational accessible is the key to success. My class needs laptops to allow students to work on math, science, and coding in the classroom. Technology is limited in our school and providing this resource to my 6th graders will improve their chance to experience the educational advantage that technology can give them.
STEM education is key to today's students success.
By having laptops in my classroom students will be able to work online on Khan, Hour of Code, and science research in a small group setting. I need these laptops so students can use them during their math/science rotations.
