This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My scholars absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions. They are the best scholars in the city of Houston. Hurricane Harvey couldn't stop these kids and not having the access to technology isn't going to stop them either. Even though some of our scholars lost everything from the storm and deal with many issues that would make any adult cry these guys are brave and ready to learn EVERYDAY!

My Project

I would like to have my students be able to reach their full potential in my classroom and in life. Lot's of the scholars at our campus have a lot to deal with on a daily basis. Not being able to compete on a local level because they don't have the opportunity to be exposed to life experiences that other their are are able.

Having iPads in the classroom will help to bridge this ever-growing gap between my scholars and other children their age.

With more technology in our classroom,​ my scholars will be able to work at their own level and pace and become the leaders I know they can.
