My Students

This is a dynamic group of scholars with various backgrounds, and a variety of learning styles. They attend a publicly funded charter school in the west valley of Phoenix, Az. They learn about a wide range of topics, from life science and the Middle Ages to algebra! These students are highly motivated to learn and are fortunate enough to be in an environment that encourages a hands-on approach to education. Technology in the classroom allows them to gather even more information about the topics at hand.

My Project

In today's world, technology is everywhere. Wherever you turn, people are using their iPhones, iPads and computers. It is essential that students are able to use and learn through technology. The Chromebook laptops I am requesting would be useful in many ways. Students would be able to use them for research on science and social studies subjects. The laptops would also be great for both math and reading centers. With so many programs available, students will be able to reinforce the concepts they learn during their center time and free time. Technology, such as laptops, are a great tool for students to learn at their own pace while hitting grade level content and in ways that make learning fun and exciting, as well as teaching them the important skill of typing!
