Some of my students have grown up with technology all around them and others are mystified every time I bring out my personal iPad. We use my iPad as a tool to check classroom books in and out and as a Listen to Reading center. It is also used as a reward for positive behavior.
I have a diverse group of students that love to work hard.
They are constantly smiling and ready for a great day in our classroom. Some of them have a lot of experience with technology and others have not had any experience at all. I want to prepare all of them for the 21st century by allowing them to have experience with technology.
My Project
The resources that I am requesting will help more of my students have access to technology in our classroom. We can use the iPad mini for taking pictures, listening to reading and as a reward incentive. Students will also be able to check in and return books independently, by using the iPad mini. By purchasing the two headphones and headphone splitter, students can listen to a book with a partner. This experience will allow students to engage in discussions and further their comprehension skills.
This project is very important to my classroom.
