Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Do you remember the first time you were in a video? With today's technology, this is an everyday occurrence to most of us. To many of my students, this will be an exciting new experience.

My students are from a predominantly black school that is 98% free or reduced lunch in the Delta.

They are hard working students that enjoy the excitement of learning and doing hands on experiments and explorations in science. Although most of my students come from single parents homes in a high unemployment community, they understand the importance of a good education and hard work in order to succeed in life.

My Project

The Acer Tablet will allow my students to video themselves and their classmate's experiments, as well as, their own presentations. They will be able to critique themselves and others to make necessary improvements or changes. They can use the tablets to do research, videos, capture images of experiments and important school events.

The donation of this tablet will give students, that have not experienced the use of the tablet in classroom's technology, the chance to do so.

It will allow my students a chance to video themselves and others, observe their own presentation and be able to go back and observe science experiments and explorations.
